Child Safety

Everyone who works with young people and/or vulnerable adults shares the responsibility of creating safe environment. We are all charged with treating life with respect and dignity given to each of us by God. Safe & Sacred is an adult training program that keeps vulnerable in our community safe. All staff, clergy, religious, and volunteers who work directly with children must complete the diocesan safe environment training program every three years.

To get started online, complete the following steps:

1. Register as a new user and fill out the background screening application
2. Complete the "Protecting God's Children in the 21st Century" course. Be sure to read the instructions and complete the steps.
3. Once you have finished your course and your background screening is processed, you will receive a notification by email that your Certification of Completion is available.
